Turn Yourself into a Musician.

Background

We have been developing software programs over various platforms including Macintosh, Unix, Windows and MS-DOS for more than two decades. We opened our business when the early 8 bit CPU computer came along in the late 70's, which was shortly before Apple II and MS-DOS. Developed a number of innovative software programs for companies including major telecommunication firms, medical institutions, TV networks and musical instrument manufacturers around the globe.

Previous Projects

In the middle 80's, we moved our focus onto our own projects exclusively developing music related software for the professional use and, based on our worldwide patents, generated a little stir in the industry.

In 1994, our product lineups, CAMPS™ (Computer Assisted Music Processing System), made a number of the impossibles possible for the first time including fully automated features of Chord definitions as well as Chord Progression composing based on an analysis of a given Melody, Melody line composing guided by a mouse-drawn contour, detection of unwanted Dissonant Interval in multiple parts and sophisticated Voicing arrangement which are inevitably required in modern music production.

Reviewed by a number of major magazines, papers and websites in countries including U.S., Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Greece, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Our customers span various fields including musicians, composers, arrangers, recording engineers, schools, film productions, TV networks among others. Some of our footprints are found to the right.

iGotGroove™ Project

Responding to positive demands by customers, our technologies are preserved into our latest software program, iGotGoove, exclusively for kids. It is our hope that this program helps you understand the business potentials of our technologies when being applied to Hardware Products; toys, tools, gimmicks, home appliance and other devices. Your inquiry for joint venture is welcome. More Info

Footprints

Several musicians and engineers formed a group originally in Cambridge, MA, in the 80's seeking for realistic music composition assisted by software program.
Our research was preserved in the prototype, CAMPS™ v0.9, in 1989 which was published worldwide through CompuServe (the first public online network long before AOL).
The group eventually became Microworks Corporation founded in 1993.
CAMPS™ v2.0 beta version was introduced at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, CA, in January 1994 where it drew attention by leading artists including Todd Rundgren (Rock legend), Al Kooper (original Bob Dylan group) and Craig Anderton (E.Q. magazine).
In an attempt to expand our global market, CAMPS™ v2.0 was introduced at the Macworld Expo in Tokyo, Japan, in February 1994, being recognized by video productions, distributors, press, game industries, musicians and musical instrument firms.
CAMPS™ v2.0 was introduced at the Macworld Expo in Boston, MA, in August 1994 resulting in worldwide distribution from Europe, Asia, Australia, through North and South America. Reviewed by an Emmy Awarded recording engineer Jay Rose on D.V. magazine.
At the A.E.S. (Audio Engineering Society) show in San Francisco, CA, in November 1994, a 10 time Grammy Awarded Jazz legend, Herbie Hancock, commented, "I've been waiting for someone someday creates something like this".
A.F.I. (American Film Institute) presented a workshop introducing CAMPS™ in their facility in North Hollywood, CA, in November 1994. This educational workshop was directed by a renown Technical Adviser, Screenwriter, Associate Producer, Co-founder of the AFI Media Lab; *Michael Backes.

*Michael Backes: Associated with films such as Rising Sun, Congo, Abyss, Total Recall, Fly 2, Terminator 2, Disclosure, Jurassic Park, Spider Man 2, etc.

At the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, CA, in January 1995, Thomas Dolby (Tech Pop Artist) and Todd Rundgren collaborated in sharing ideas with us.
At the Macworld Expo in Tokyo, Japan, in February 1995, CAMPS™ was selected as the number one choice of the Japan's growing `Desk Top Music' market.
CAMPS™ v2.4 followed by v3.1 were respectively introduced at the NAMM in Anaheim, CA, in January 1996 and the Macworld Expo in Tokyo, Japan, in February 1997.
CAMPS™ v4.0 for the Windows platform was introduced at the NAMM in Anaheim, CA, in January 2001. Reviewed on Electronic Musician magazine.
